Blackhawks great Troy Murray dies at 63

Troy Murray, who died Saturday at 63, played 12 of his 15 NHL seasons with the Blackhawks and won the Selke Trophy in 1985-86.

Troy Murray, one of the best two-way centers in Chicago Blackhawks history who went on to a long and decorated broadcasting career with the team, died Saturday morning at age 63, the team announced.

María Jesús Contreras Good advice The piece of wisdom I repeated the most this year came from a reader of The Morning who answered my call for advice last December: "We are all juggling so many balls. Differentiate between glass balls and rubber balls — and don't be afraid to drop the rubber balls." Everyone with whom I shared this little gem seemed to find it useful (or maybe they were humoring me?).
