Two officers face internal affairs probe over search of suspect before shooting of cops at Chicago hospital

The Chicago Police Department’s Bureau of Internal Affairs has opened an investigation into two officers who searched Alphanso Talley last weekend before he was taken to Swedish Hospital, where he allegedly shot and killed Officer John Bartholomew and critically wounded his partner.

María Jesús Contreras Good advice The piece of wisdom I repeated the most this year came from a reader of The Morning who answered my call for advice last December: "We are all juggling so many balls. Differentiate between glass balls and rubber balls — and don't be afraid to drop the rubber balls."
